Juggling and performance Intensive Residential Workshop (in a barn in the middle of the words)
22-28 August 2011 – Gricigliana (Prato, Tuscany, Italy) “Sono rimasto piacevolmente soddisfatto di questo workshop per giocolieri perché non è, allo stesso tempo, un workshop di giocoleria. Dico questo perché tutto quello che è stato fatto – esercizi fisici, yoga, teatro, danza – è stato studiato per metterlo a servizio della giocoleria, e non come cose a sé separate. Nelle improvvisazioni serali si è messo in pratica tutto il lavoro della giornata e per me è stato fantastico usare i sentimenti, gli animali… nella giocoleria. Consiglierei questo laboratorio a tutti i giocolieri che desiderano avere una presenza scenica e una consapevolezza di quello che si sta facendo sul palco, in strada, nell’allenamento e nella vita.” “I was pleasantly surprised by this workshop for jugglers because it is and it isn’t at the same time a juggling workshop. I say this because all that was done – from the physical exercises to the yoga and the theatre to the dance – was all studied to be used by juggling and not just as separate exercises. In the afternoon improvisations the work of the whole day was put into practice and for me it was fantastic to use the feelings, the animals… while juggling.
