I could do some research on the internet about Italy, but I think it's more interesting to start learning about Italy from Italian jugglers.

Here are some questions for my Italian friends...

1. What is December weather like? Are there warm spots?
2. What must anyone travelling through Italy see or do (especially in December)?
3. How do locals have a good time in your town?
4. What percentage of Italians speak at least a little English?
5. Who are the most famous Italian jugglers? Do they have online videos?
6. Where do Italians like to go in Europe for vacations?

I'll try to answer all your questions even if isn't so easy...
1) usually cold but it depends... if your are near mountains or near the seaside... this year it was so strange... too warm than the average

2) every piece of italy is connected with History so is difficolt to answer this question... there are a lot of beautiful cities to visit with great museums or residence, castles, ecological parks... rome, venice, florence, turin, aosta, pisa, caserta, naples... but also a lot of tipical little villag full of ancient traditions... what do you want to see? pictures museum, historical monuments, modern art???? we have all in italy!!

3) disco, pub, cinema, walking up and down straight on shops' street... but i don't live in a big city... Idea

4) english speaking people...mh... i don't know!

5) i hope that other guys/girls will help you to find an answer to this question...

6) everywhere isn't expencive!!!! Very Happy i think in italy mostly, also in spain, the netherlands, france...

i hope i helped you a bit!
have a nice day!

Hi there!
Good that you are learning about Italy from Jugglers...that means you want to have fun Wink

so,seriuosly:
1-it's cold, not as in germany or north countries but in some days you can find both wind+cold(honest cold in noth italy, wet cold in firenze-pisa and middle italy). But obvusly the temperature depends of wich part of italy you are!So i raccomend you to birng at leastsome waterproof shoes and training shoes also.
2-it depende where the fly lands and how long you're staying here!A must cities are: rome, firenze, genova(middle)
3-well happy hour in december can be good not just for meeting people and getting drunk but also for heat yourself:) there are some events before christmas,if you tell where you want to stay we can let you know..
4-ITALIAN PEOPLE(EVEN ME)ARE NOT KEEN IN ENGLISH .i hate to say that but that's it, so be sure that if you're asking information you have to use SIMPLE WORDS and most of time you 'll have to ask more than one person.try with younger person(18-28yo)
5-i do not agree with those who say that just in the net you'll find great jugglers..you know...internet isn0t the only way and also not evryone love to be know by internet.i think the best way is to ask here when you're in a city and we can let you meet them.(in pisa a lot of good jugglers from mosscow school, firenze from spanish circus shool) OR JUST STROLLING AROUND IN JYGGLERS GYM(THERE'S A LIST OF THAT SOMEWHERE IN THIS SITE)
6-EJC Wink
but personally i'm heading to paris"soon" and if i could i'll be in vienna or perheps berlin(katakomben)

hope i've been usefull.
enjoy italy,AT ALL. Idea

I don't think you're so bad, aren't you? Very Happy

actually I'm studying english for an exam, so I don't think I'm great, but I can try to help you.. so if you don't understand Italian just send me a private message: I can help you and give you some advice to be a good "g.orger" Wink
I suggest you to visit the "italian style" forum: there you can find many videos by Italian jugglers, you can download them or sometimes you can watch them from YouTube (I guess you know it).

I hope you'll have fun. Very Happy

P.S: actually I'm not able to see the websites you linked. can you correct them? thanks.

hello Smile it's a clever move to you, having informations about Italy directly form the people who live in it, rather than from million pages about history and other stuff u r not interested of..so u deserve all the assistance we're able to give uWink i'll try to help u as i can, answering ur set of questions...
1. generally the weather it's cold..i think the average is of 7/8°C..but i'm of the south, and here the temperatures are a little bit higher..
2. In december..all places are more active than the rest of the year..seeing that's xmas, they organize demonstrations, festivals, and i think that every city it's worth of visiting!!But if i were u, i wouldn't miss Roma, Bologna and Firenze!!
3. i've not experienced lots of locals around europe, but, according to what i've seen, there aren't big differences from what we do here to have fun..and afterall..it depends by ur own tastes, and what u like to do..
4. italians- first of the list are neapolitans!- are famous for their art of 'arrangiarsi', they do improvise..so if u meet an italian who does not speak english, but is at least easy, you'll manage to communicate and have your informations..all this to tell u that u cant count too much on our mastery of the language!!but, rely on young people!!
5. for every kind of italian juggling video u want to see..there is a large variety on the website!!!
6. and at last..italians, as someone said, are everywhere..but the most quoted are spain, london, amsterdam..dunno..
hope i've been useful to u..
have fun in italy Smile
